What is Money Path Atlantic? We’re a team from three different non-profits in Nova Scotia, Canada. We have a hub in Halifax, Kentville and Inverness. The reason we started Money Path is because within our non-profits, we work with folks who do not feel secure about their money. Turns out, many Canadians feel this way! The Government of Canada decided to fund projects across the country to help people better understand their finances. We came together and submitted an application in 2022 and we were successful!

But enough about us, what the heck is “financial literacy?” Turns out this phrase can put people in a panic. Financial literacy just means you have the skills, knowledge, and confidence to make informed decisions about your money. This means you can pay your bills on time, manage any debt, have a savings plan for life’s millstones — and life’s unexpected moments — that you can protect your money from scams and pay your taxes.
